নওগাঁ জেলাস্থ ধামইরহাট উপজেলা সদর থেকে মাত্র ৫ কিলোমিটার উত্তর-পূর্বে ভারতের সীমান্ত ঘেঁষে আলতাদীঘি (Alta Dighi) অবস্থিত। ধামইরহাট হতে গ্রামীণ আঁকাবাঁকা রাস্তা ধরে যতই এগিয়ে যাওয়া যায় ততই গাছগাছালি ঘেরা সবুজ প্রকৃতির মুগ্ধতাকে উপেক্ষা করা কঠিন হয়ে পড়ে। সরকারিভাবে সংরক্ষিত শালবন এবং লাল মাটির পাহাড়ি এলাকার মতো বনের উঁচু-নিচু ট্রেইলে হাঁটলে গ্রাম বাংলার এক বিচিত্র রূপের সৌন্দর্য আহরণ করতে পারবেন।
Alta Dighi is located just 5 kilometers north-east of Dhamoirhat Upazila headquarters in Naogaon district, right along the Indian border. As you move away from Dhamoirhat along winding rural roads, it becomes hard to ignore the charm of the green nature surrounded by trees. Walking along the high and low trails of the forest, reminiscent of government-reserved Sal forests and red clay hilly areas, allows you to experience a unique form of rural Bengal’s beauty.
