শাপলা গ্রাম সাতলা (Shapla Gram Satla) যেন এক শাপলার রাজ্য। বিলের পানিতে ফুটে থাকা হাজারো লাল শাপলা যেন সূর্য্যের লাল আভাকেও হার মানায়। বরিশাল (Barishal) সদর থেকে সাতলা গ্রামের দূরত্ব ৬০ কিলোমিটার। বরিশালের উজিরপুর উপজেলার সাতলা গ্রামের বিলগুলো স্থানীয়দের কাছে শাপলার বিল নামে পরিচিত। এখানে কবে থেকে শাপলা ফোটা শুরু হয়েছে এ তথ্য পাওয়া না গেলেও জানা যায় এখানে লাল, সাদা আর বেগুনি এই তিন ধরণের শাপলা জন্মে। তবে লাল শাপলা সবচেয়ে বেশি দেখা যায়।
Shapla Gram Satla (Shapla Gram Satla) is like a kingdom of water lilies. Thousands of red water lilies blooming in the waters of the wetland put even the red glow of the sun to shame. The distance from Barishal Sadar to Satla village is 60 kilometers. The wetlands in Satla village under Uzirpur upazila of Barishal are known to locals as Shaplar Bil (Water Lily Wetland). Although information on when water lilies first started blooming here is not available, it is known that three types of water lilies grow here: red, white, and purple. However, red water lilies are seen the most.
