মৌলভীবাজার জেলার কমলগঞ্জ উপজেলার রাজকান্দি সংরক্ষিত বনাঞ্চলের গভীরে ২০১০ সালের শেষের দিকে পর্যটন গাইড শ্যামল দেববর্মাকে সাথে নিয় একদল পর্যটক হাম হামের এই অনিন্দ্য জলপ্রপাতটি আবিষ্কার করেন। স্থানীয়দের কাছে এই ঝর্ণা চিতা ঝর্ণা হিসাবে পরিচিত, তাদের মতে এই জঙ্গলে আগে চিতা পাওয়া যেত। প্রায় ১৪০ফিট উঁচু এই ঝর্ণার বুনো সৌন্দর্য দেখার জন্যে অনেক কষ্ট স্বীকার করে সমগ্র বাংলাদেশ থেকে মানুষ ছুটে আসে। শীতকালে তুলনামূলক পানি অনেক কম থাকে তাই বর্ষা কাল হাম হামের বুনো সৌন্দর্য্য দেখার উপযুক্ত সময়।
Deep inside the Rajkandi Reserved Forest in Kamalganj Upazila of Moulvibazar District, towards the end of 2010, a group of tourists along with tourism guide Shyamal Debbarma discovered this breathtaking waterfall known as Hum Hum. Locally, this waterfall is known as Chita Jharna (Leopard Waterfall), as locals believe leopards used to be found in this jungle. To witness the wild beauty of this roughly 140-foot-high waterfall, people endure great hardship and travel from all over Bangladesh. Winter has comparatively much less water, so the monsoon is the ideal time to experience the wild beauty of Hum Hum.
