হাওরের কথা আসলেই আমাদের মনে সুনামগঞ্জ, সিলেট কিংবা কিশোরগঞ্জের ছবি ভেসে উঠে। কিন্তু ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া জেলায় সৌরভ বিলিয়ে থাকা হাওর সম্পর্কে অনেকেরই তেমন জানাশুনা নেই। ধরন্তি হাওর (Dhoronti Haor) তেমনি এক অপরূপ প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য ধারণকারী জলাভূমির নাম। নৈসর্গিক ধরন্তি হাওরের পূর্ব দিকে তিতাস নদী এবং পশ্চিমে মেঘনা নদী সহ ছোট বড় আরও বেশকিছু খাল-বিল রয়েছে।
Whenever we think of haors (wetlands), images of Sunamganj, Sylhet, or Kishoreganj usually come to mind. However, many people are not aware of the haors spreading their charm in the Brahmanbaria district. Dhoronti Haor is one such wetland possessing breathtaking natural beauty. To the east of the scenic Dhoronti Haor lies the Titas River, and to the west is the Meghna River, along with several other large and small canals and beels.
